Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager in Colchester to oversee solar and renewable energy projects from design through to completion. The role offers hybrid working after probation and a competitive salary, with a company laptop provided and substantial holiday entitlement.

You will manage multiple Solar PV and related renewable energy installations, coordinate site teams and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience as Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar in electrical/solar/renewable energy sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from design to completion.
• Knowledge of Solar PV, Battery Storage or Air Source Heat Pump installations.

Contracts Manager - Solar & Renewable Energy

Location: Colchester, Essex (Hybrid available after probation) Salary: Up to 60,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Electrical Contracts Manager with a background preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector? Our client, a growing renewable energy specialist, is looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects secured through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). Working across Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pump installations, you'll manage projects from initial design through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

• Salary up to 60,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The role

• Manage multiple Solar PV and renewable energy projects from start to finish
• Prepare solar design proposals for client approval
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and surveyors
• Monitor project programmes, budgets and cash flow
• Carry out site visits to ensure quality, progress and Health & Safety compliance
• Prepare and review RAMS
• Resolve technical and site issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate project information using the CRM system
• Attend client meetings and build strong working relationships
• Provide technical support to customers and the wider team

About you

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar within the electrical, solar or renewable energy sector
• Knowledge of Solar PV, Battery Storage or Air Source Heat Pump installations
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong IT, organisational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of customer service
