THE ROLE:

Affinity Fire Engineering is a specialised fire safety consultancy firm servicing a diverse range of clients and sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. Our growing team is looking for a new addition to join our admin team. An experienced Contracts Manager is required to lead contract management, ensuring agreements with clients meet all legal and insurer requirements. This role is based in our Cheltenham office. We offer a hybrid working policy with an expectation to attend the Cheltenham office twice per week, so applicants must be within a commutable distance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review deeds of appointment and collateral warranties, amending wording based on insurer advice.
  2. Liaise with clients and senior management to negotiate contract amendments.
  3. Coordinate with project leaders to review service scope and fees, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  4. Maintain a system to track contract statuses for senior management.
  5. Print, distribute, and file contracts both digitally and physically.
  6. Coordinate with the Finance Department for timely invoice processing.
  7. Provide administrative support to the Finance Director.
  8. Manage all legal communications with clients professionally and accurately.
  9. Assist with ad-hoc project administration tasks.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Key strengths include communication and organisation, with the ability to balance assertiveness and professionalism.

Qualifications include:

  • GCSE grade A*-B in English and Maths.
  • A full university degree or equivalent, or 3 grade B or above A-levels.
  • Autonomous work capability with minimal supervision.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience, ideal for a paralegal seeking in-house legal experience.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
