SSE Energy Markets secure the energy needed to power customers' lives, while creating value for SSE. Our Energy Markets trading teams buy the fuel needed to deliver cleaner energy and sell power generated in our wind farm, hydro and thermal assets back to the markets.

Base Location:Dublin or Belfast - this is a hybrid role working part of your week from the office at one of the advertised locations.

Salary:€76,100 - €114,100 (ROI) or £58,100 - £87,100 (NI) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Contracts Manager will play a critical role in delivering both EM and Airtricitys structured contract agreements for the opportunities outlined in the respective businesses growth strategy in Ireland. You will be expected to develop new business relationships and identify and deliver new profitable growth opportunities.

You will

- Develop a comprehensive customer relationship database with Energy companies and Asset owners in Ireland.

- Assess market risk and ensure contracts align with the businesss risk appetite and pricing structure.

- Implement a reporting system for counterparty and market intelligence to support EPM growth strategies.

- Collaborate with EM and Airtricity stakeholders to ensure contract alignment with Group operating models.

- Identify business growth opportunities and manage energy contracts for PPAs, green energy products, and financial targets.

You have

- In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy sector, including key industry players, market structure, PPAs/route to market structures and commercial mechanisms and drivers.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build and maintain relationships across all management levels.

- Highly motivated and proactive self-starter, capable of working independently or as part of a remote team to achieve business objectives.

- Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proven expertise in originating, negotiating, and successfully delivering high-value commercial contracts in the energy sector.
