Platinum Search Recruitment Limited is partnering with a long-established family-owned contractor to recruit a Contracts Manager for small works and framework projects across Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London.

You will lead multiple projects up to £1m, ensuring safe delivery on time and within budget, while developing strong client, supplier and subcontractor relationships and supporting estimation activities.

• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial controls.
• Experience producing project programmes and logistics plans.

Platinum Search Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established, family-owned contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Small Works & Frameworks Contracts Manager to join their busy team operating across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and into Oxfordshire and North London.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple projects valued up to £1m, working closely with key public and private sector clients. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to a high standard and with strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small works and framework projects from start to completion.
• Lead and support site managers, working foremen, subcontractors and project teams.
• Manage quality, compliance, health & safety and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor programme, costs, risks and opportunities.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Attend client and site meetings and provide clear project updates.
• Support estimating and tendering activities, including programmes and technical information.
• Work closely with the commercial and senior management teams.
• Identify risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
• Ensure works comply with current legislation, regulations and relevant codes of practice.

About You

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience working for a main contractor.
• Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within a small works/framework environment.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, commercial controls and project risks.
• Experience across a range of construction methods.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience producing project programmes and logistics plans.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and planning software such as Asta.
• SMSTS.
• Relevant construction qualification such as HNC/HND, NVQ, degree or equivalent experience.
• Current, appropriate CSCS card, ideally Black/Professional level.
• Full UK driving licence.

Security & Vetting

Due to the nature of some projects, you must have full right to work in the UK and have been continuously resident in the UK for at least the last five years. You must also be willing to undergo DBS, BPSS and/or other client-led security vetting where required.

Package

• £55,000 - £65,000 salary, depending on experience
