Carrington Wood seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects in the Exeter region. You will manage contracts from enquiry to completion, build strong client relationships, and ensure safety, on-time delivery and profitability in a growing specialist construction business.

The role requires strong project management skills, commercial acumen, and leadership to coordinate operational teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within construction.
• Strong project management skills delivering multiple contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness with budget control.
• Strong leadership and client relationship abilities.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing contracts from quotation through to successful project completion
• Visiting client sites to assess works and prepare accurate quotations
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Planning and scheduling labour, subcontractors and project resources
• Producing detailed project programmes, RAMS
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
• Monitoring project progress, budgets and commercial performance
• Carrying out regular site inspections and Health & Safety audits
• Supporting and developing operational teams to deliver high-quality workmanship
• Managing project documentation and ensuring accurate contract records are maintained
• Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and professionally

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Profit Share Bonus, Location: Exeter, Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Start: ASAP.

Our client is seeking an organised, commercially minded and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across the region. What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting and developing operational teams to deliver high-quality workmanship
• Managing project documentation and ensuring accurate contract records are maintained
• Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and professionally

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar within the construction industry
• Strong project management experience delivering multiple contracts simultaneously
• Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and maximise profitability
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities
• Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance
• Experience within specialist contracting or highly regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential
