We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role is ideal for those interested in developing and enhancing their skills while undertaking quality and varied work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers to provide proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers play an active role in team management, deputise for the Principal Solicitor, and contribute to delivering first-class legal services.

The role is hybrid; remote work will be considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, with the candidate expected to collect their laptop from Reigate on their first day.
The role involves managing a group of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services, leading by example and embedding the council's values.
You will manage a demanding caseload, delivering solutions with minimal supervision, and support the council's goal to reduce reliance on external legal support.
The role may include advocacy work and supporting the Monitoring Officer regarding legal or procedural issues.
Training staff within the Council to stay updated on legal matters is also part of this role.
