We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills through varied and quality work.
As part of a team of Contract Lawyers, you will provide proactive legal advice on issues such as Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will handle a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management, deputize for the Principal Solicitor, and contribute to delivering first-class legal services.

The role is hybrid; remote work will be considered. Occasional office attendance may be required, and the candidate will need to collect their laptop from our Reigate office on the first day.
This role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider legal services management, model and embed the council's values and behaviors, and handle a demanding caseload with minimal supervision.
You will also support the council's aim to reduce reliance on external legal support and may be required to undertake advocacy.
The role includes supporting the Monitoring Officer in legal compliance and advising on any illegality or procedural issues.
You will contribute to staff training to keep them updated on legal developments and emerging issues.
