We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills while undertaking diverse and quality work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers to provide proactive legal advice on issues such as Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC's and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will manage a varied and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers are expected to participate actively in team management and deputise for the Principal Solicitor, contributing to the delivery of first-class legal services.

You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services, exemplifying the council's values and behaviors.
You will manage a full caseload, delivering solutions with minimal supervision.
The role supports the council's goal to reduce reliance on external legal support and may involve advocacy work.
You will assist the Monitoring Officer in reporting any illegality or procedural issues for investigation.
The role includes training staff to stay updated on legal issues.
