Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Contract Resident Engineer / Site Engineer (civil & structural) for a major infrastructure project in the Essex / East London area. The role is split roughly 50/50 between site and office, acting as the link between construction works and the design engineers.

You will monitor works for compliance with drawings and specifications, raise and follow up RFIs, record site observations, and coordinate technical queries with designers and contractors to keep works on

Qualifications

• Site engineering or resident engineer experience on civil/structural projects.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings and specs.
• Proven track record coordinating between site teams and design office.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring construction works for compliance with drawings, specs and design intent.
• Acting as the link between site teams and design office, coordinating technical queries and solutions.
• Raising and following up RFIs, recording site observations and supporting quality assurance.
• Liaising with contractors, engineers and other project stakeholders to ensure works are delivered correctly.
