Job summary

Pertemps in Leicester is seeking a Contract Recruitment Consultant (Office Based) to join their team. You will own the end-to-end recruitment journey for a busy local distribution operation, building relationships with candidates, the onsite team and the client while ensuring compliance and smooth scheduling.

The role offers a base salary of £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience, plus up to £2,000 annual commission, full-time hours and a Monday–Friday pattern.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end recruitment journey ownership.
• Create engaging recruitment campaigns to attract high-quality candidates.
• Proactively source talent through job boards, social media, referrals and local networks.
• Screen, interview and select candidates for current and future vacancies.
• Work closely with onsite team to understand forecasts and workforce requirements.
• Coordinate recruitment campaigns, inductions and assessment centres.
• Manage candidate availability and ensure shifts are effectively supported.
• Complete right-to-work checks, pre-employment screening and compliance processes.
• Provide ongoing worker care, including attendance, welfare and payroll queries.
• Build trusted relationships with candidates, colleagues and client stakeholders.
• Monitor service levels, recruitment activity and KPIs.
• Use data and market insight to improve attraction, retention and service delivery.
• May monitor drivers’ working hours, availability and compliance and provide coaching.
