Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a long-term contract based in Cardiff Bay.

Location: Cardiff Bay and wider Cardiff area. Rate: £300 - £320 per day. Duration: 12 - 18 months. Start ASAP. Hours: Mon-Fri 07:30 - 17:30. This role provides an opportunity to work with a respected contractor on exciting projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Experience on envelope, roofing, cladding, facade or external envelope projects is desirable.
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost management and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs and budgets.
• Producing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Forecasting costs and reviewing contracts for compliance.
• Liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
