Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in the United Kingdom seeks a Process Engineer to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation at the UK Animal Health manufacturing facility. You will work with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance and deliver projects in a regulated biologics setting.

The role focuses on reliability, process capability and continuous improvement, supporting safe and compliant manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Experience applying structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
Experience improving equipment reliability and process capability.
Knowledge of GMP/GxP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
Experience planning and delivering engineering or capital projects including budgets.
Strong written communication and engineering documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing plant and equipment.
Investigate and resolve technical and process-related issues using structured methods.
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Lead projects, manage scope, budget, schedule and contractor coordination.
Support safe, compliant operations through risk assessments and audits.
Provide technical expertise to Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.
Develop and maintain SOPs and engineering standards.
Train and coach operators in equipment operation and GMP requirements.
