Job summary

Staffline in Burnley is seeking a Contract Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support a highly automated distribution facility on a 12-week contract. You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyors, motors, sortation systems and PLC-driven equipment, troubleshooting faults to maximise uptime.

Working closely with operations, you will document maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safety procedures are followed and equipment

Qualifications

• PPM and reactive maintenance on automated distribution equipment.
• Fault find and repair conveyors, motors, sortation systems and associated equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Independent work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated distribution equipment.
• Fault find and repair conveyors, motors, sortation systems and associated automated handling equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
• PLC fault finding and troubleshooting to identify and rectify equipment issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure safe and efficient running of the facility.
• Complete maintenance documentation and ensure compliance with site health & safety procedures.
