Linear Recruitment are seeking a Temporary Mechanical Design Engineer to design and deliver engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects in Sheffield. You will design mechanical systems, produce drawings and calculations, and coordinate with civil, electrical and control engineers to ensure on-site installability.

The role involves design, calculations, testing support, and handover, with responsibilities including design reviews of pumps, pipework, valves, tanks and process

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
• Detailed mechanical design experience.
• Experience with pumps, pipework, valves, tanks or process equipment.
• Ability to read and produce engineering drawings and P&IDs.

Responsabilités

• Design mechanical systems for water and wastewater plants.
• Produce drawings, layouts, calculations and equipment specifications.
• Design and review pipework, pumps, valves and tanks.
• Prepare and interpret P&IDs and general arrangement drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical and control engineers.
