Job description

Job Description

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join WiseEnergy’s Commercial & ESG team to refine our renewable energy asset management services and systems. We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst / Assistant Commercial Manager to strengthen our UK team, build efficiencies, and transform ways of working. Each day will involve managing SPV revenues, contracts, and client interactions, along with insurance renewals, claims management, regulatory support, and ESG delivery for assets in the UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This will be an integral role in the WiseEnergy team, including:

  • Management of energy sales (Power Purchase Agreements) with off-takers and UK government incentive schemes (e.g., ROC / FIT).
  • Contract management — renewals, tendering, issuing notices, obligations, etc., related to solar farm companies (SPA, Lease, PPA, O&M, EPC) and understanding lender requirements.
  • Supporting management of regulatory audits.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual client reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with ESG and community relations obligations.
  • Managing land lease agreements and relationships with landlords.
  • Developing and populating relevant information on the company’s in-house asset management platform (AMP).
  • Asset onboarding.
  • Ad hoc domestic travel within the UK, as required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

To succeed, you will demonstrate:

  • Time management & prioritization skills — managing workload effectively in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to organize thoughts clearly in English or other European languages, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility — adaptable and open to new tasks beyond your core responsibilities.
  • Intellectual curiosity — interested in renewable energy and eager to delve into technical topics and contribute new ideas.
  • IT literacy — comfortable with IT systems and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Delivery focus — proactive, efficient, and committed to high-quality outputs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for our mission — to lead the transition to clean energy for a sustainable future.
  • Our values: leadership, trust, responsibility, innovation, and bringing your best.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in economics, social sciences, law, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy, preferably solar.
  • Right to work in the UK.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A dynamic role within a supportive team with growth opportunities.
  • International exposure across over 8 countries.
  • Hybrid working model — in-office in London at least twice a week, with remote work the rest of the time.
  • 30 days of vacation.
  • Healthcare coverage for you and dependents.
  • Annual discretionary bonus.
