Job summary

IWFM is recruiting an Interim Contract Manager / Facilities Manager to oversee a large FM contract in Enfield, North London. The role requires strong electrical knowledge and robust FM technical expertise, with responsibility for service delivery, compliance, and leading engineers.

You will manage day-to-day operations across nearly 100 buildings, ensuring maintenance is delivered efficiently and contractual obligations are met. Excellent organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of a facilities management contract across ~100 buildings.
• Manage a team of 4 (Lead Engineer + 3 Engineers).
• Oversee ~150 PPM visits per month.
• Ensure statutory maintenance is completed per compliance and contract obligations.
• Manage engineer workloads, priorities and day-to-day operations.
• Monitor service delivery and maintenance standards.
• Act as main point of contact for operational issues and reporting.

Location: Enfield, North London
Rate: GBP36.67 per hour Umbrella

I'm currently recruiting for an Interim Contract Manager / Facilities Manager to join a well-established FM operation, overseeing a large facilities management contract across the London Borough of Enfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background and solid FM technical knowledge, who is confident managing engineers, overseeing service delivery and keeping on top of statutory maintenance requirements across a varied property portfolio.

You'll be responsible for the day–to–day running of the contract, ensuring maintenance is delivered effectively, compliance is maintained and the engineering team is operating efficiently.

The Role

• Overseeing the day–to–day delivery of a facilities management contract covering just under 100 buildings.
• Managing a team of 4, consisting of a Lead Engineer and 3 Engineers.
• Overseeing approximately 150 planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits per month.
• Ensuring statutory planned maintenance is completed in line with compliance requirements and contractual obligations.
• Managing engineer workloads, priorities and day–to–day operational activity.
• Monitoring service delivery and ensuring maintenance standards are consistently met.
• Acting as a key point of contact for operational matters and ensuring any issues are dealt with effectively.
• Keeping on top of maintenance schedules, compliance records and reporting.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a Contract Manager, Facilities Manager or similar within the FM industry.
• An electrical background with a good understanding of building services.
• Strong technical knowledge of facilities management and statutory compliance.
• Experience overseeing PPM programmes and reactive maintenance environments.
• Previous experience managing engineers and coordinating operational teams.
• Someone organised, proactive and confident taking ownership of a contract.
