About the role of Contract Manager
  • Supervise workforce members to contribute positively towards achieving contract outcomes safely and promptly.
  • Lead by example by providing a professional and efficient service on behalf of CGS. Organize and oversee work of subcontractors, partners, and CGS workforce to achieve contract outcomes.
  • Issue clear contract instructions to promote safety, organization, and efficiency at the workplace.
Key responsibilities of a Contract Manager
  • Plan workforce and equipment requirements to ensure contracts are correctly resourced and within budget.
  • Approve and plan schedules to ensure activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support senior team members and operatives to complete tasks correctly, ensuring reports meet targets and goals.
  • Maintain team training and standards in compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Communicate contractual details to clients as needed.
  • Address issues affecting daily contract operations promptly.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary documentation for site, team, and operatives.
  • Delegate or undertake additional duties as appropriate.
  • Supervise onsite staff, including Traffic Management Operatives.
  • Notify line managers of significant issues or incidents to prevent delays or damages.
  • Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are checked, recorded, and maintained properly.
  • Perform other duties as required, adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.
