Job description

Purpose of Job

Providing leadership, management, and development of the contract, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded. The role requires close liaison with the client, Helpdesk Manager, and internal senior managers. The operation should be proactive and driven to achieve total customer satisfaction while ensuring operational and fiscal plans are at least achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the H&S of the sites and engineers.
  2. Work closely with the Contract Support to ensure high service levels are maintained.
  3. Provide leadership and ensure the planned development of the contract to meet and exceed contractual commitments.
  4. Support the Helpdesk in achieving high customer satisfaction levels.
  5. Ensure client satisfaction remains high, leading to contract development and expansion.
  6. Meet with clients to establish communication and attend monthly meetings as required.
  7. Ensure the contract complies with health and safety standards.
  8. Communicate and implement business policies and processes within the contract.
  9. Provide weekly flash reports to clients and internal managers where appropriate.
  10. Collaborate with Senior Management for business development and team support.
  11. Ensure statutory and code compliance of sites.
  12. Oversee PPM planning schedules and ensure execution per guidelines and standards.
  13. Manage PPM and related documentation.
  14. Implement risk management strategies.
  15. Manage and develop the team, including appointment and succession planning.
  16. Own the financial aspects, including P&L, debt, and WIP.
  17. Handle disciplinary and conflict management.
  18. Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure proper labeling.
  19. Procure materials and services efficiently.
  20. Produce dilapidation reports and operational reports as needed.
  21. Identify and develop additional services and projects, including re-tenders and proactive sourcing of new work.
  22. Provide technical support to engineers, helpdesk, and clients.
  23. Investigate operational incidents and report findings.
  24. Ensure engineers are equipped and tools are inspected and calibrated.
  25. Maintain contract review, audit, and control systems to meet statutory and contractual obligations.
  26. Ensure uniforms are in good condition and worn properly.
  27. Conduct monthly site reviews and at least two site audits per contract annually.
  28. Carry out engineer appraisals and establish effective escalation procedures.
  29. Manage callouts and conduct monthly toolbox talks.
  30. Promote a health and safety culture across the team.
  31. Assist in preparing quotations and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  32. Attend operational meetings and maintain regular communication with the engineering team.
  33. Audit PPM and reactive works and maintain logs.
  34. Ensure third-party contracts are fulfilled and promote service improvement initiatives.
  35. Uphold BGIS core values and promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.
