Job summary

Mears Group in London is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of social housing contracts. You will manage performance, client relations and compliance to ensure outcomes meet contractual commitments.

Leading a team of four supervisors, coordinating repairs, KPI reporting and service standards, you will drive continuous improvement while supporting operatives and branch teams across occupied homes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of operational and commercial delivery, ensuring contract performance aligns with commitments and client protocols.
  • Oversee works to programme timeframes and ensure compliance with health & safety, Mears SOPs and quality standards.
  • Lead four supervisors with performance reviews, 1:1s and daily briefings; monitor KPIs and service delivery.
  • Handle client queries and resident complaints effectively; support operatives and branch teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Annual salary: up to £61,505.00 Contract Manager Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: £61,505 per annum Hours: 42.5 hours per week Fulltime - permanent Monday - Friday

Role Criteria


  • Management of all aspects of operational and commercial delivery, overall contract performance in line with contractual commitments and agreed company & client protocols.

  • Managing works to programme time frames, producing project Ensure compliancy and adherence to health & safety regulations, Mears standard operating procedures Mears values and quality assurance accreditations.

  • Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities

  • End-to-end management of Responsive repairs across a range of occupied homes

  • Line management of four supervisors, including performance reviews, one-to-ones, and daily briefings

  • Oversight of KPIs, reporting, and service delivery standards

  • Handling client queries and managing resident complaints effectively

  • Supporting and engaging operatives and branch teams to achieve high-quality outcomes


What we're looking for


  • Experience in Managing a contract within the social housing sector

  • Experience in Responsive repairs

  • Experience in Budget management

  • Experience in performance reporting

  • Experience in People Management

  • Ability to provide evidence of contract performance and efficiency

  • Workable technical knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance

  • Full valid UK driving license
