Job summary

Henderson Brown is seeking a seasoned Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a contract role in Scunthorpe, England. Working within FMCG environments, you will repair production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.

You should hold electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications (BTEC, HNC, etc.) and preferably an 18th edition. The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£36-£38) and an attractive shift pattern with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG sector preferred.
• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering (BTEC/HNC).
• 18th edition or equivalent electrical qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repair production machinery using reactive and preventative maintenance methods.
• Fault find mechanically and electrically, including motors and control panels.
• Collaborate with production to optimise equipment performance and uptime.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports on maintenance activities.

Responsibilities Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Efficiently repair various production machinery using both reactive and preventative maintenance techniques, including motors, control panels and various systems
• Confidence with mechanical fault finding and Tig Welding.
• Demonstrate proficiency in both electrical and mechanical principles.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimise equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and provide reports as needed.

Requirements Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Previous experience in the FMCG sector.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (BTEC, HNC, etc.).
• Possession of an 18th edition or any additional electrical qualifications is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
