Job summary

KPI-Recruiting-Ltd is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a temporary contract in Leek, Staffordshire. The role focuses on site-wide maintenance, preventative maintenance, and quick breakdown response.

The position requires a time-served engineer with electrical/mechanical qualifications, strong fault-finding skills, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work nights. You will support site projects and maintain safety standards on a food manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in a food, FMCG, or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to work nights and manage priorities efficiently.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• PLC fault finding experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimize production downtime.
• Support site engineering projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the production site.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with site health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for delivering site-wide maintenance support, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of equipment
