SThree is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer to design and develop microservices using Spring Boot for production-scale applications. You will build RESTful APIs, implement CI/CD pipelines, and containerise with Docker and Kubernetes across Azure/AWS.

The role involves writing clean code, collaborating on reviews, and contributing to architectural discussions, with a focus on scalable data flows and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Production Java development experience.
• Strong Spring Framework and microservices knowledge.
• Experience with Azure/AWS and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring frameworks.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with distributed systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Write clean, maintainable code and collaborate on code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance across cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
• Work with SQL databases and manage data pipelines.
• Support deployment and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
