Job summary

Ordnance Survey is recruiting a Finance Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term maternity-cover contract in Southampton. The role focuses on owning project accounting and fixed/leased asset activities, supporting managers and Finance Business Partners with reporting and insights, and maintaining strong financial controls.

You will work with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate cost recording, budgeting, and performance analysis, while upholding accounting policies and audit

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting and analysis for projects or programmes.
• Proven ability to manage project accounting and fixed assets.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing project accounting activities including costs, internal labour and capex.
• Support financial reporting and analysis to improve understanding of project performance.
• Maintain fixed and leased asset registers including depreciation and disposals.
• Process project-related accounting entries ensuring compliance with policies and audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning for projects and capital programmes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.
