Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Contract Embedded Software Engineer – Linux to work on mission-critical systems near Greenwich. You’ll develop embedded software in C/C++ for Embedded Linux and RTOS, design multi-threaded applications and integrate with hardware, and contribute to software architecture and system validation.

You’ll also contribute GUI functionality with JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js, collaborating closely with hardware and software engineers to solve system-level

Qualifications

• Strong commercial embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Proven Embedded Linux experience.
• Experience with RTOS such as VxWorks or FreeRTOS.
• Knowledge of multi-threading and real-time software principles.
• Experience with embedded hardware integration and Git.

If you enjoy the challenge of making software and hardware work together, this contract offers hands-on development across complex electronic platforms.You'll work alongside specialist engineers, contributing to software architecture, real-time performance and system validation - not just writing code in isolation.

Please note: this contract requires engagement through an umbrella company.PSC engagement is not available.
