Job summary

The Redline Group are working with an established engineering technology business based in West Yorkshire, who design and manufacture electronic systems used across transport and infrastructure environments.

They are looking for a Contract Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on an immediate start project; this is an initial 2-month contract with hybrid working available and strong potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Strong Embedded C development experience.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Experience developing software for STM32 microcontrollers.
• Previous experience working on train operating systems/TDRP is highly desirable.

• Modify and extend an existing embedded platform under time-critical conditions.
• Contribute across ongoing product development activities within a small, collaborative team.

The Redline Group are working with an established engineering technology business based in West Yorkshire, who design and manufacture electronic systems used across transport and infrastructure environments. They are looking for a Contract Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on an immediate start project; this is an initial 2-month contract with hybrid working available and strong potential for extension.

The contract has been approved to support a time-critical customer programme involving modifications to an existing embedded platform, whilst also providing additional software resource across a number of ongoing product development activities. You'll be joining a small, highly collaborative engineering team where your contribution will have a direct impact from day one.

Key Skills Required - Contract Embedded Software Engineer, based in West Yorkshire:

• Strong Embedded C development experience


• Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS


• Experience developing software for STM32 microcontrollers


• Previous experience working on train operating systems/TDRP is highly desirable

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
