Job summary

You will design, implement and maintain software for alarm communication, focusing on C and protocol handling across RS485/Ethernet, with some C++ to C rewrites and local UI/JSON configuration work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software development for embedded Linux products.
• Strong C development experience in production embedded systems.
• Familiarity with protocol conversion and reading/understanding C++ code.
• Experience with Python for automated tests is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new protocol handlers for alarm panels using C over RS485 or Ethernet.
• Add local web page UI elements and JSON configuration.
• Redesign and rewrite existing C++ software in C using small modular processes.
• Maintain code quality via unit tests and system tests in Python and code reviews.
