Job summary

Orion Electrotech is recruiting a Machine Wirer for a 3‑month rolling contract in the United Kingdom. The role offers a PAYE rate of £22.63 per hour with an umbrella option and an Monday–Friday day pattern.

You will join an established engineering and manufacturing business, wiring control panels, reading schematics, and testing complex electrical systems as part of a collaborative production team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in electrical/electro-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings (EPLAN preferred).
• Strong fault-finding, validation and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical wiring and assembly of control panels and systems.
• Work from electrical schematics and EPLAN drawings.
• Looming, panel wiring and sub-assembly manufacture.
• Testing, validation and fault-finding of electrical systems.
• Support electro-mechanical assembly and integration activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of build/validation processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Occasionally assist with installation and servicing at customer sites.
