Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Contract) for a state-of-the-art, high-volume production site in Desford. The role operates on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (days and nights) with a competitive hourly rate.

You will provide electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair across automated manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens and kilns, within a large engineering team.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with relevant certificates.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in FMCG or heavy industrial environments.
• Exposure to automation and large-scale machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair across automated equipment.
• Work on conveyors, mixers, ovens, kilns and other large-scale machinery.
• Support continuous improvement, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate within a 20-engineer team to ensure safe operation.
• Complete handover processes daily (5:30-6:00).
• Participate in holiday cover to reduce banked hours.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance in a dusty FMCG environment.
