Job summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer position based in Leicester is a contract on an ongoing basis. The role requires FMCG industry experience and involves reactive and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and implementing improvements across mechanical and electrical systems.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, attend meetings, and contribute to project work covering installation and commissioning of equipment to enhance performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification in electrical or mechanical subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong electrical experience preferable in FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of controls, fault analysis and solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdowns electrically and mechanically with fault finding and analysis to improve the site.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve site operations.
• Attend meetings, analyse data and formulate solutions to improve equipment performance while maintaining safety and clear communications.
• Involve in projects to develop engineering install and commissioning processes.
• Perform PLC fault finding as required.

My Client is a leading manufacturing site looking for Electrical maintenance engineer with FMCG experience to join on both an ongoing basis.

Duties as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• Reacting to breakdowns both electrically and mechanically, fault finding, analysing and continuously improving the site.
• Work closely with other departments to improve the site.
• Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
• In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.
• PLC fault finding

Requirements as a Electrical maintenance engineer:

• A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Knowledge / experience of working with controls, analysing faults and providing solutions.
• Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Strong organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team of varying levels of technical experience.
