KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Contract Electrical Design Engineer for a UK manufacturer in Sheffield. The role focuses on finalising around 10 product variants ready for manufacture and release; this is a hands-on contract to take the range over the finish line.

You will produce electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, build instructions, and support CE documentation while coordinating with compliance and other engineering teams.

Formación

• Electrical Design Engineer with a product, panel design or panel building background.
• Strong electrical drawing skills using AutoCAD Electrical (EPLAN / SolidWorks Electrical also considered).
• Experience with LV power, control panels, contactors, switchgear, transformers or UPS.
• Exposure to CE marking, technical files or product compliance.
• Practical, hands-on shop floor or panel wiring background is ideal.

Responsabilidades

• Produce and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and single line diagrams
• Create final drawing packs and BOMs for the shop floor or outsourced build
• Write build instructions, specifications and install manuals
• Justify component selection (cables, fuses, contactors etc.)
• Document how the control system operates
• Support risk assessments and the CE Technical File
• Manage redline changes and drawing revisions
