Job summary
Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Contract CNC Turner to support the manufacture of precision components for Motorsport, Automotive and Marine applications. You will program, set and operate twin spindle turning machinery, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality documentation.
The role is a contract position at our Northampton site with competitive hourly rates and options including Outside IR35 and PAYE. Typical shift pattern is Monday–Thursday 14:00–23:00, Friday 12:00–20:00.
Qualifications
- Experience with twin spindle turning applications.
- Experience with Siemens Sinumerik 828D/840D controls.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience performing in-process inspection and maintaining traceability.

You’ll be responsible for programming, setting and operating twin spindle turning machinery, working to tight tolerances and maintaining the highest standards of quality, traceability and documentation.
- Programme, set and operate twin spindle turning applications
- Work with Siemens controls
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements
- Work to tight tolerances
- Maintain accurate documentation and product traceability
- Use a range of inspection equipment to check own work
- Familiarity of twin spindle turning applications

- Experience working to tight tolerances and conducting in-process inspection
