Job summary

Experis is seeking an Assurance Manager in Farnborough on a contract basis. The role is 5 months long with a daily rate of £650 and is onsite for 3 days per week. You will lead assurance reviews, evaluate risk management and governance controls, and produce evidence-based reports to support improvements.

The successful candidate will strengthen data protection, compliance programs, and regulatory adherence while building strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within Assurance, Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance or a related controls-focused function.
• Experience identifying control deficiencies and providing practical recommendations for improvement.
• Strong report writing, analytical and investigative skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assurance activities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance reviews as part of the Annual Assurance Programme, including planning, stakeholder engagement, fieldwork and reporting.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management frameworks, controls and mitigation strategies.
• Assess the adequacy of governance processes, compliance programmes and control environments.
• Produce clear, evidence-based assurance reports, outlining findings, risks and improvement recommendations.
• Identify control weaknesses and opportunities for process enhancement and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and track agreed actions to ensure timely remediation and effective closure.
• Review compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory obligations.
