Simply Recruitment Group is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join a manufacturing client near Ashton Under Lyne on a permanent basis. Salary is c£45-£47k per annum, plus 25 days' holiday and a company bonus, pension, healthcare, etc.

The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, lead improvement initiatives, and work with senior leadership to deliver measurable gains in efficiency and quality across the plant.

We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.

About the Continuous Improvement Manager role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who is passionate about driving operational excellence, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting business growth.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to increase efficiency, and help implement strategic improvements across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Manager:

• Lead and coordinate continuous improvement projects across the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and overall operational performance.
• Monitor, measure, and report the progress of improvement initiatives to senior management.
• Work collaboratively with departmental managers to deliver operational and business improvement projects.
• Analyse existing processes and recommend practical solutions that deliver measurable results.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to support process improvements.
• Promote a safe working culture while ensuring high housekeeping and workplace organisation standards are maintained.

The successful Continuous Improvement Manager will have:

• A strong engineering background within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in a Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Improvement, or Business Improvement role.
• Experience within sheet metal, precision engineering, aerospace, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to work alongside senior stakeholders and influence positive change.
• Good IT and commercial awareness with the ability to analyse data and identify improvement opportunities.
