Job summary

An aerospace manufacturing business is seeking an experienced CI / Business Development Manager to drive operational improvements across its sheet metal facility. This is not a sales role; you will identify opportunities to improve processes, implement lean initiatives and reduce waste on the shop floor.

Working with production, engineering and senior management, you will lead CI projects from concept to implementation, shaping future performance and delivering measurable productivity gains

Qualifications

• Must have strong engineering or manufacturing background.
• Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives within manufacturing.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements.
• Experience working within a factory or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across the factory.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Ensure all improvement activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

Job description

We\'re recruiting on behalf of a well-established aerospace manufacturing business seeking an experienced CI / Business Development Manager to drive operational improvements across its sheet metal manufacturing facility.

This is not a sales business development role. Instead, you\'ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, implementing lean initiatives, reducing waste and increasing efficiency across the factory.

Working closely with senior management, you\'ll lead continuous improvement projects from concept through to implementation, helping to shape the future performance of the business.

The Role

This is a hands-on position based predominantly on the shop floor. You\'ll spend time understanding current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements that enhance productivity, quality and operational performance.

You\'ll work collaboratively with production, engineering and senior management teams to deliver measurable improvements while maintaining the high standards expected within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
