Job summary

Edge Talent is seeking a Contentious Probate Partner for a well‑regarded regional law firm with over 200 years of history. You’ll have true autonomy, a clear career path and act as a central figure in running and supervising the team.

You will run your own caseload of complex contentious probate, trust and estate disputes and actively supervise and develop the team. Hybrid working is accommodated with typically 3 office days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in contentious probate within a UK law firm.
• Experience supervising junior Solicitors and running cases independently.
• Ability to manage your own caseload of complex matters and contribute to team development.

Job description

A well-regarded regional law firm is looking for an ambitious Contentious Probate Partner to join its busy and growing team.

You don’t need a client following.

The team has more work than it can handle.

The firm cares about your technically ability and how well you lead people, not about business development targets. You'll work closely with the Head of Department and take on a central role in running and supervising the team.

You will be expected to run your own caseload of complex contentious probate, trust and estate disputes and help to supervise and develop a team. Working on complex, sensitive and often high value matters for individuals, families, trustees.

Ranked in Chambers and Legal 500. There’s currently 5 people in the contentious probate team.

Hybrid working is accommodated and typically you’ll be in the office 3 days a week.
