Job summary

G2 Legal Limited in Reading is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join a Legal 500 & Chambers Band 1 team. You will handle a varied contentious probate caseload, including Inheritance Act claims, will validity challenges, and executor disputes, with hybrid working and close supervision from an experienced leader.

The role suits a solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE and civil litigation experience who wants to deepen expertise in this specialist field and contribute to the firm’s continued

• Civil litigation experience, ideally including contentious probate
• Strong drafting, analytical and client care skills

Looking to build your career in contentious probate within a highly regarded specialist team?

Our client is a well-established independent law firm in Reading with a leading Will Disputes & Contentious Probate team. Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its busy and expanding practice.

This is an opportunity to handle a varied caseload of specialist disputes, develop your technical expertise and work alongside an experienced team leader recognised as a leading individual by the Legal 500.

The Role

You will manage your own cases, with support and supervision on more complex matters, covering:

• Inheritance Act claims for claimants and defendants
• Will validity challenges
• Executor disputes and estate administration claims
• Removal of executor applications
• Trust disputes and Court of Protection matters

The work is exclusively contentious probate, allowing you to develop genuine expertise in this specialist area while gaining exposure to complex and interesting disputes.

About You
