An established industry player is seeking a motivated solicitor to join its growing construction team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of complex disputes related to live construction projects, providing strategic legal advice to clients from developers to contractors. With a supportive culture and a focus on professional development, you will gain genuine responsibility and progression opportunities in a collaborative environment. If you have a passion for construction law and a desire to enhance your expertise, this position could be your ideal next step.
How about a contentious construction role that WON'T run you into the ground? This independent Scottish firm is growing its construction team and is looking for a solicitor with a keen interest in disputes to come on board. The practice is well-established across both contentious and non-contentious construction work and is known for its practical, commercial advice across a broad client base—from developers and contractors to consultants and funders.
You'll be working on a range of complex and interesting disputes arising from live construction and infrastructure projects. The team regularly advises on payment issues, defects, delays, professional negligence, and contract interpretation—handling matters through adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation, including in the Court of Session. It’s real, varied work with clients who rely on the team not just for legal analysis, but for strategic direction when projects go off course.
The wider construction group supports a steady pipeline of residential, commercial, energy and civil engineering projects across Scotland. You'll be part of a collaborative team with partners who are hands-on, highly experienced, and invested in your development.
If you’ve got around one to four years of experience in construction disputes or commercial litigation, and you're looking to grow your expertise in a team that offers genuine responsibility and progression, this could be the move. The firm offers a down-to-earth, supportive culture and a flexible approach to hybrid working—no faceless hierarchy, no endless hours.
