Job summary

Police Now is seeking a Content Officer in London to join the Brand, Marketing and Communications team. You will develop compelling copy and visual content across social media, website, email and campaigns to attract diverse graduates to our National Graduate Programme.

You’ll craft engaging stories from participants and officers, manage content calendars, and collaborate with partners to drive recruitment and candidate experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for digital marketing, communications, employer brand or recruitment campaigns.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and audience engagement principles.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, with the ability to identify what content formats, imagery and creative approaches resonate with different audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience creating both written and visual content, including copywriting and graphic design assets using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and analytics tools.
  • Experience managing content calendars and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders and conducting interviews to develop authentic stories and case studies.
  • Interest in social impact, policing, public service or purpose-driven organisations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to capture content at events.
  • Understanding of diversity and inclusion, and the ability to ensure content is representative, inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling written and visual content that engages audiences and supports recruitment across channels.
  • Lead content creation from concept to delivery with engaging assets.
  • Develop content plans and calendars aligned to recruitment, marketing and brand objectives.
  • Capture and tell stories from participants, alumni, officers, partners and staff.
  • Produce and edit copy for multiple audiences with consistent tone and brand messaging.
  • Lead content production projects including photography, videography and case studies.
  • Design and produce branded assets using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring accessibility and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities that support recruitment goals.
  • Manage content updates across digital platforms and publish engaging content.
  • Monitor trends, identify opportunities to improve performance and innovation.
  • Report on content performance metrics like engagement and conversions.
  • Support wider marketing and comms initiatives.
