Job summary

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is seeking a Communications & Marketing Officer - Content Creation to join our Communications team. You will create engaging content for digital and traditional channels, supporting campaigns and events and responding to media inquiries.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure high-quality communications, scheduling social media campaigns, drafting media releases and analysing engagement data to improve future outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in content creation, media relations, social media communications and/or visual design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong digital skills with Microsoft Office and web platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service.
• Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and accessible content for digital and traditional platforms (social media, websites, press releases, videos, internal comms).
• Support campaigns and events; respond to media enquiries.
• Draft media releases and schedule social media campaigns; analyse engagement data to improve future communications.
