Job summary

Aston Villa Football Club is seeking a proactive Content Producer to plan, produce and deliver world-class content that supports the Club’s digital and brand objectives. You will coordinate content across platforms including social media, VillaTV, and podcasts, and attend shoots as an ambassador for the Club.

You will liaise between Content, First Team and stakeholders to manage player access for content, and assist with matchday production, running orders, scripting and live show delivery.

• Strong technical skills with Sony camera systems (FX6/FX3/FX30) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multiple departments.
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and matchdays.

The Department

The Content and Digital Team plays a central role in creating and delivering exceptional content and coverage that that reflects our identity and engages and resonates with our fans across the world helping to bring our stories to life.

Working alongside the wider team, the Content and Digital Team help drive fan engagement, connect supports with the Club and showcase all aspects that make the Club special – on and off the pitch.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Content Producer who will be responsible for the planning, production and delivery of world – class content that supports the Club’s digital, commercial and brand objectives. This will be dynamic and varied role in a fast-paced environment where no two days will look the same.

You will be a vital member of the Content team, supporting the development, planning and co-ordination of the Club’s content production schedule across all our platforms including social platforms, VillaTV, and our podcast as well as our season content campaigns. You will also attend and support any content shoots as and when required to ensure smooth and efficient operation acting as an ambassador for the Club.

One of your main responsibilities will be acting as the central liaison between the Content Department, First Team and wider stakeholders to co-ordinate all First Team player access for content opportunities ensuring the requests are managed efficiently whilst respecting performance schedules.

You will also be involved in our Matchday production co-ordinating hosts, commentors and technical support and working closely with the Head of Content and Digital Media on running orders, scripting and live show delivery.

The Person

We are looking for a content professional with a desire to help enhance coverage, content and engage our fans with proven experience in a similar content creation role, ideally within football or elite sport. You will have strong technical expertise across industry-standard production tools, including Sony camera systems (FX6, FX3 and FX30) and Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.

You will be an excellent communicator, confident in building relationships and collaborating with colleagues across multiple departments, as well as working directly with players, talent, commercial partners and senior stakeholders. You will also be highly organised with exceptional planning and time-management skills, you will be comfortable balancing competing priorities while consistently delivering high-quality content.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work matchdays which take place across evenings and weekends and you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the ability to travel between our Club sites.
