Job summary

Business Stream, based in Edinburgh, is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to drive our content strategy, delivering high-quality content that builds brand awareness, engages audiences and supports lead generation.

You’ll lead content production from planning through to delivery, oversee writing and editing, optimise for SEO, and report on KPIs while collaborating with Marketing, Sales and other teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Create clear, engaging content across blogs, websites, social media, propositions and emails.
• Write and edit content while ensuring brand consistency and audience targeting.
• Use insights and performance data to shape content strategy and KPIs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva and strong Excel skills.
• Marketing degree and/or Chartered Marketer qualification; Power BI experience welcomed.

Job description

As Content Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our Content Marketing Strategy, creating high-quality content that builds brand awareness, drives engagement and supports the generation of quality marketing leads. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales and the wider business, you’ll make sure our content is consistent, impactful and aligned to our business goals.

This is a varied and creative role where you’ll lead content production from planning through to delivery, including writing, editing, managing the content calendar and working with our Digital Marketing Manager to optimise content for SEO and audience engagement. You’ll also use insight and performance data to refine our approach, report on KPIs and keep our content fresh, relevant and effective.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, strong writing skills and a confident, collaborative approach. You’ll be someone who can:

• Create clear, engaging content across blogs, websites, social media, propositions and email campaigns.
• Write, edit and adapt content for different audiences while keeping it on brand.
• Use insight, trends and performance data to shape content that makes an impact.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage competing priorities confidently.
• Bring experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, with strong Excel skills.
• Ideally have a marketing degree, Chartered Marketer qualification, Power BI experience and/or utilities sector knowledge.
• Ideally have experience working with large volumes of data.
