Job description

We’re looking for a passionate content creator to join our growing Performance and Social Team. You will primarily support the goal of producing and editing a high volume of social-first video and social imagery across our portfolio of social clients.

At Linney, we work with a range of clients from all sizes and sectors, many of which are household names — from beauty clients to high street food and beverage chains.

As part of the Performance and Social Team, your work will ensure our clients are sector-leading in social content and be part of our vision to be industry-leading curators of online culture.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have a love for online content and be truly immersed in online culture.
  • You will be able to create social-first content, primarily for Instagram and TikTok — though ideally you will be platform-agnostic. This could be video led content that has a UGC/authentic style or it could be a designed post for reactive content such as memes or trend-jacking.
  • The successful candidate will approach briefs from a social-first perspective to create a wide range of social media assets in different formats, including static, animation, and video posts.
  • They will have input into and vision of content strategy for our clients, while educating the wider business on social content creation and keeping them updated with innovations and future trends.
  • They will be the team’s self-shooting producer, giving clear direction to video editors on adapting cutdowns for social media. Their understanding of social platform analytics means they will create engaging content and edit templates for our repeatable formats.

Specifics:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in creating and editing social content, primarily video for a range of social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Facebook.
  • Experienced in Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop and CapCut.
  • A deep understanding of online culture, social media video best practices and publishing trends.
  • Capable of managing large volumes of work and being organised in a way to leverage content shoots to provide maximum output and return for clients.
  • Experience working with brands from a range of sectors OR experience with a range of content creators and managing their output.
  • Shooting content with a smartphone and/or DSLR but preferably we are looking for someone who can create quick UGC-led content with minimal studio and lighting setup — though we have extensive studios at Linney and can provide support for more high-level content creation.
  • A creative eye for how transitions and shooting styles can be combined in-app to create a compelling and thumb-stopping output for our clients.
  • The ability to quickly turn around designed social-first content that allows our clients to join in with trending conversations e.g. a reaction to the Oscars.
  • Capable of creating content in line with brand guidelines and tone-of-voice — but can respectfully push these to ensure content is social-first.
  • Accurately subtitle and add copy to video content.
  • Keep on the pulse with new platforms, their updates and how we can leverage these for clients — happy to be a thought leader for the agency, both internally and externally.
