Role: Content Creator
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £35, DOE

At Buy It Direct, we are investing in our future; we’re looking to recruit a talented Content Creator to join our team.

As a Content Creator at Buy It Direct, you will be responsible for developing and executing our content strategy to align with our business goals. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks to enhance our online presence and engage our audience across various marketing channels.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Create and deliver marketing campaigns across all channels, including web, point of sale, social media, and other platforms.
  2. Generate visually compelling content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  3. Write persuasive copy for various campaigns, audiences, and channels.
  4. Analyze, report, and respond to website metrics, social media analytics, and SEO metrics to improve performance.
  5. Produce high-quality, engaging content for the website, social media, email, blogs, campaigns, and other marketing channels.
  6. Collaborate and influence stakeholders, working with the wider marketing team to develop a content strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  7. Write user-focused and SEO-optimized copy to meet commercial goals.
  8. Develop social media content and campaigns, able to react to changing priorities in a fast-paced and commercially driven environment.
  9. Monitor web and social media analytics data to track user engagement, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize content performance (e.g., GA4 and Google Search Console).
  10. Create and edit video and photo content that is on-brand and relevant to our audience.
  11. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Your Experience:
  1. Experience in content creation and copywriting in a similar role, ideally in a commercially driven retail or product environment.
  2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  3. Excellent knowledge of SEO and familiarity with relevant tools, including Google Analytics and Search Console.
  4. A deep understanding of communication and marketing channels.
  5. A proven record of creating and implementing social media plans with experience in managing and scheduling content for social channels such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  6. Experience using a variety of analytical tools with the ability to interpret data to make commercial decisions and drive performance.
  7. Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  8. Experience in content management systems (CMS) is an advantage, alongside some HTML knowledge.
  9. Previous experience in photography and video editing tools is an advantage.
