Role Overview

We seek an energetic and creative social media content creator to join our communications team. The ideal candidate writes outstanding copy, has B2B technology marketing experience, and can develop campaign concepts that make products and brands stand out. You should value planning accuracy, cross-team collaboration, and audience-focused content, with a good understanding of technology concepts. This role offers an opportunity to build a career with a community-focused brand impacting the modern technology stack.

Responsibilities

1. Develop a multi-channel communications strategy emphasizing planning and timely delivery.
2. Analyze and report on communication channels, content performance, and campaign results.
3. Support the growth of Canonical's digital audiences and increase engagement.
4. Create compelling copy and assets aligned with the brand to drive audience action.
5. Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests.
6. Focus on platform and community moderation, and direct engagement.
7. Promote awareness of campaigns, product launches, webinars, and industry announcements.
8. Creatively package Canonical's product offerings and educational materials.

Qualifications

1. Understanding of best practices for tech communications.
2. Experience with social media management tools like Sprout Social; familiarity with web analytics (Google Analytics) is a plus.
3. Proficiency in at least four platforms: LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Meta, Instagram, Reddit.
4. Analytical skills and content performance understanding per platform/objective.
5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
6. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and produce quality work.
7. Experience with planning and project management tools like Jira is advantageous.
8. Interest in video production and social media video strategies.
9. Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for events.
