Job summary

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is seeking a Communications Support Officer to join the Central Support team for a 10-month maternity cover or as a secondment. You will help tell the LFR story, create engaging content for employees, stakeholders and communities, and support social media campaigns and digital assets.

The role includes managing campaigns, building partnerships, and monitoring performance to improve reach and impact. Some home working may be possible after a settling-in period.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven experience in communications, marketing, or a related qualification.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and MS Office.
• Experience managing social media platforms and web-based communications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Office-based role with potential for home working after settling in period.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: design and deliver written, visual, and video content for digital platforms and print media.
• Campaign Management: support the implementation of the Communications and Engagement Strategy.
• Stakeholder Engagement: build relationships across service areas and partner agencies.
• Digital Presence: manage social media channels and intranet updates.
• Performance Tracking: monitor metrics and report to the Communications Manager.
