About the role:

A career in our Consulting practice, within our TMT and BOSCO teams, will provide you with the opportunity to help technology, software and software-enabled businesses shape and deliver complex value creation programmes. You’ll focus on supporting clients with operating model transformation, cost and productivity improvement, AI-enabled operations, transformation delivery and performance improvement.

This Managing Director role is a senior market-facing position focused on building and scaling PwC’s software value creation capability. You’ll work with established and scaling software businesses, including PE-backed software portfolio companies, helping clients respond to pressures around margin improvement, operational scalability, AI adoption, customer and revenue operations, data quality, reporting and exit readiness.

You’ll work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders across TMT, BOSCO, Deals, Tax and the PE channel to originate, shape and deliver transformation opportunities, bringing specialist software market credibility and senior delivery confidence to a priority growth area.

What your days will look like:

• Build and maintain senior relationships with software and software-enabled businesses, including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CTOs, CPOs, operating partners and value creation teams.
• Originate, shape and support the conversion of transformation opportunities across software value creation, operating model, cost, productivity, AI-enabled operations and performance improvement.
• Work closely with Partner-led account teams, TMT leadership, BOSCO leadership, Deals, Tax and PE channel stakeholders to identify priority opportunities and support coordinated market activation.
• Develop and package repeatable propositions for software clients and PE-backed software portfolio companies, focused on practical value creation and measurable outcomes.
• Lead and support complex transformation programmes, providing senior delivery confidence and helping clients improve scalability, governance, productivity, operating models and value capture.
• Bring insight into key software market themes, including margin pressure, customer and revenue operations, cost-to-serve reduction, product and implementation efficiency, data quality, KPI reporting and exit readiness.
• Help build and develop a team, initially leading approximately 7-10 individuals, while creating leverage through Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, Senior Associates, AI-enabled delivery and offshore execution.
• Act as a senior commercial and market-facing specialist, supporting PwC’s growth in software value creation while working through established account governance and client relationship structures.

This role is for you if:

• You have deep experience in software, software-enabled businesses or PE-backed technology businesses.
• You have a strong understanding of software business models, software operating metrics, scaling challenges and value creation levers.
• You have a proven track record of originating, shaping and converting transformation opportunities.
• You have deep experience in operating model transformation, cost and productivity improvement, performance improvement, AI-enabled operations or software value creation.
• You have experience leading complex transformation programmes with measurable commercial or operational outcomes.
• You understand PE-backed business environments, including value creation plans, hold-period economics, margin improvement and exit readiness.
• You are confident engaging with senior client stakeholders and can shape board-level transformation agendas with credibility.
• You are a proactive, practical and collaborative leader who can build relationships, mobilise teams and work effectively across Partner-led accounts and cross-firm networks.
• You have strong commercial judgement, senior market presence and the ability to translate market needs into practical, repeatable client proposition.
