Job summary

Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd is seeking an experienced process engineering Consultant to join our Stockport office, with occasional UK, Ireland, and EU travel. The role requires a good M.Eng in Chemical Engineering and active progression toward C.Eng status.

You will contribute to multi-disciplinary power/process projects, supported by a project director and broader engineering team, and engage with construction projects and contract drafting.

Qualifications

• M.Eng in chemical engineering required.
• Actively working towards C.Eng status.
• 4–7 years of post-degree process engineering experience.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary delivery of power/process projects, with support from a project director and team.
• Experience with construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• Good communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and EU, including overnight stays.
• Competent with MS Office and engineering software.

As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting an experienced process engineering Consultant, to be based in our Stockport office with some travel in the UK, Ireland, and EU.

We Are Looking For

• a good chemical engineering M.Eng
• actively working towards obtaining C.Eng status
• 4 - 7 years of process engineering experience gained post degree preferably with some involvement in the consultancy sector.
• proven experience with the multi-disciplinary delivery of small to larger power/process projects, with the support of a project director and wider engineering team.
• experience of construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• good communication skills, with experience of communicating effectively with both engineering and non-engineering skilled audiences.
• full driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and EU including occasional overnight stays.
• competent computing skills using MS office suite, engineering software, etc.
