Job summary

Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd, a leading technical consultancy, invites an experienced process engineering consultant to join our Stockport office with UK travel. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary power and process projects under the guidance of a project director, while engaging with stakeholders across engineering and non-engineering audiences.

• M.Eng in Chemical Engineering required.
• Active progress toward C.Eng status expected.
• 2–4 years process engineering experience post degree, preferably consultancy.
• Located within 1 hour of Stockport or willing to relocate; not remote.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary power/process projects with project director support.
• Experience with construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel in UK and EU, including overnight stays.
• No skilled worker visa sponsorship available for this role.
• Good communication with both engineers and non-engineers.

As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting an experienced process engineering Consultant, to be based in our Stockport office with some travel in the UK, Ireland, and EU.

We are looking for:

• a good chemical engineering M.Eng
• actively working towards obtaining C.Eng status
• 2-4 years of process engineering experience gained post degree, preferably with some involvement in the consultancy sector.
• Located within 1 hour's commute of Stockport, or willing to relocate. This is not a remote role.
• proven experience with the multi-disciplinary delivery of small to larger power/process projects, with the support of a project director and wider engineering team.
• experience of construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• good communication skills, with experience of communicating effectively with both engineering and non-engineering skilled audiences.
• full driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and EU including occasional overnight stays.
• competent computing skills using MS office suite, engineering software, etc.
