The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Uroradiology to join our busy department. The post will be predominantly based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with responsibilities extending across both hospital sites.

All consultants have dedicated sessions for acute imaging, protected time for specialist imaging, MDT preparation, MDT administration, and MDT participation.

Responsabilidades

• Support the acute hospitals, imaging common acute conditions, with plain film, CT, MRI and ultrasound to consistently high standard.
• Be a core member of the busy urology MDT, reporting specialist urology studies and collaborating on pathways, with involvement in MDT presentations and cancer management.
• Provide radiology advice to hospital doctors, MDT members, and GPs in person, by phone and email to ensure appropriate testing.
• Support and guide radiographers and sonographers to improve imaging techniques.
• Willingness to participate in trials and to engage in REALM, peer review and audit meetings to drive governance and service improvement.
• Develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in assessing and managing acutely ill patients.
• Demonstrate excellent team-working in a multi-professional environment and meet clinical targets agreed with teams and commissioners.
• Follow patients through their clinical pathways.
