Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with GI/GU/Lung subspecialty interest to join the Radiology team. The role involves reporting cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound lists, fluoroscopy, MDT attendance, and some management duties.

The post is based at the Royal Oldham Hospital with limited sessions at other NCA sites. On-call duties are in a 1 in 25 rota, with overall responsibility for patient care and departmental operation.

Qualifications

• Primary medical qualification (MBChB) and FRCR or equivalent.
• Full GMC registration with a valid license to practise.
• Registration on the GMC Specialist Register-CCT or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
• To be formally recognised as Educational Supervisor as defined by the GMC Trainer Standards

Responsibilities

• Radiology reporting of cross sectional imaging and ultrasound lists.
• MDT attendance and preparation; contribute to management tasks as appropriate.
• On-call radiology duties (1 in 25 rota) across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham sites.
• Ensure proper records management and infection prevention policies are followed.
